I think most of you were expecting this sooner or later:
My pick for this week is zombies!

I love zombies, but it have to be proper zombies. No intelligent zombies, who do not go on rampages, but instead fall in love and stuff for me! I want my zombies to be raving, flesh craving monsters who cause mayhem and chaos. I love to read a good zombie story where the hero has to fight for his/her life and where zombies are a serious threat for you health and brain. Give me a story like that and you've got one happy pig.

  1. I totally agree! I like the other kinds, but I will always have a special place in my heart for the old flesh eating, mindless zombies.

  2. I honestly can't remember if I've ever read a zombie book before. That's odd. I'm not a huge horror fan, but I do pick them up when the mood strikes. One zombie book I am interested in is Zombie Haiku: Good Poetry for Your...Brains by Ryan Mecum. Some of my GoodReads friends have reviewed it and included quotes, and it sounds hilarious! Here's one they quoted:

    "Little old ladies
    speed away in their wheelchairs
    frightened meals on wheels"

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but I think I'd like it! I do love the zombie farmgirl pic!

  4. I think they would have to count as your favorite antihero, or maybe favorite threat?

You're right: I've been subconsciously waiting for you to feature zombies! LOL!

I've never read a zombie book, either, though I love zombie movies.

  7. I've never read a zombie book before. Horror has never been my genre, but they are an interesting species. I love the Zombie farm girl, the flower almost makes her look civilized.

  10. Zombies were big at BEA. I actually picked up 3 such books for my husband, and I started to flip through one (Pariah by Bob Fingerman) and was hooked. I'm about halfway through, now, and so far, no intelligent zombies so you might like it.
