Teaser Tuesdays - Blameless

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Floote watched. Alexia wondered if her father's faithful valet mistrusted Madame Lefoux because she was French, because she was a scientist, or because she was so consistently inappropriately dressed. With Floote, all three qualities were likely to engender suspicion.

I read the first in this sreies and liked it a lot, but I never got aroud to reading the second one because the series was more, er, "mature" than I can usually tolerate.
Great teaser, though! I wish this series really was YA!
BTW, BOO!

I liked Soulless but I haven't gotten to Changeless yet. Love this teaser! I'm w/ Floote - I wouldn't trust a scientist either, especially in that world.
