Third Grave Dead Ahead (Charley Davidson #3)
by Darynda Jones
What is it about:
Paranormal private eye. Grim reaper extraordinaire. Whatever. Charley Davidson is back! And she's drinking copious amounts of caffeine to stay awake because, every time she closes her eyes, she sees him: Reyes Farrow, the part-human, part-supermodel son of Satan. Yes, she did imprison him for all eternity, but come on. How is she supposed to solve a missing persons case, deal with an ego-driven doctor, calm her curmudgeonly dad, and take on a motorcycle gang hellbent on murder when the devil's son just won't give up?
What did I think of it:
This is yet another great book.
I like Charley and I absolutely love Cookie, so I was once again hooked from the start. With Charley trying to stay awake, solve crimes, and having to deal with Reyes there isn't a dull moment in this book.
I loved the introduction of some new characters, and was intrigued by learning a bit more about Charley's powers as Grim Reaper. It's clear there is going to be a lot more trouble coming Charley's way.
All in all a very enjoyable book. I need to get the next book soon, or I'll be tempted to read the books i already have and read the series totally out of order.
Why should you read it:
It's a fun and action-packed UF read.
