Angels' Blood - Book Review

Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter #1) by Nalini Singh

What is it about:
Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux is hired by the dangerously beautiful Archangel Raphael. But this time, it's not a wayward vamp she has to track. It's an archangel gone bad.

The job will put Elena in the midst of a killing spree like no other—and pull her to the razor's edge of passion. Even if the hunt doesn't destroy her, succumbing to Raphael's seductive touch just may. For when archangels play, mortals break.

What did I think of it:
Even though this book was marked Urban Fantasy Romance I was surprised to find the romance overshadowing the action storyline. Not that this is a bad thing in this case. The romantic tension between Elena and Raphael is very well written and I found myself completely drawn into the story. Next to an intense romance and a cool (although small) action storyline, this book has very solid and intriguing world building, great characters and enough storyhooks to keep this series going a long time. A totally different read from what I expected, but a very enjoyable read at that. I will certainly continue to read this series.

Why should you read it:
It's got angels and vampires!
