The Unbelievable Top Secret Diary of Pig - Book Review

The Unbelievable Top Secret Diary of Pig
by Emer Stamp

What is it about:
We love Pig , but Pig loves Farmer. After all, Farmer gives Pig yummy slops and special back scratches, and calls him Sausage and seems to love him more, the fatter he gets. Just as well Pig doesn't speak any Farmer. But Duck does (Duck's clever like that), and he's determined his best friend should know the truth.

What did I think of it:
I got this book from Aurian, who immediately thought of me when she saw it.

And this is a really cool book with many fun drawings to accompany the story.

Set up as a diary it tells the story of Pig, who lives on a farm with evil chickens, a lovable duck and Farmer. Pig is a very trusting fellow, but luckily he has Duck to warn him of dangers. I loved reading how they discover the chicken's evil plot, what Farmer has in store for Pig and more.

Pig and Duck are fun heroes, and this book is full of conspiracies, adventure and friendship. I can advice this book to younger readers and anyone who loves pigs, and mistrusts chickens ;-) I wouldn't give this book to children who still have to learn proper spelling and grammar though, because if they follow Pig's example they will be doing it all wrong (I is Pig).

Why should you read it:
It's a fun and enjoyable book about a pig.
