What is it about:

What did I think of it:
This is a cool read.

The previous book in this series was an enjoyable read, but had some awkward writing from time to time. Rogue Hunter: Dark Space doesn't have that problem. It's pleasantly written, and the story flows from action to dialogue and back without any hiccups.

The story itself is full of action and suspense. Zyra is trapped on a space ship, and is being hunted, or is she the one hunting? The tables get turned on both Zyra and her captors from time to time, keeping you guessing who will come out the victor.

I liked you got to know the crew of the Lilith, so you can relate to both them and to Zyra, making it hard to know who to root for at times. I must say it reminded me of the Alien movies a bit. The way death could lurk at every corner. I think this story would work very well as a movie itself as well.

The story ends with another cliffhanger, and I must say i'm very curious what will be next. All in all this is a very entertaining SciFi adventure and I'm keeping an eye out for what else Hendrickson will write in this series.

What did Voodoo Bride think of it:
This is a really nice read.

Zyra is a tough heroine and it took me a while to get a grip on her, but after that I was cheering her on. Skringler was an intriguing character as well, but his motives are much harder to grasp. I had hoped there would be more scenes between Zyra and Skringler, exploring their past and their feelings towards each other, but that was not to be.

The writing is awkward at times, but not annoyingly so. I liked the world building. It was a bit too anti male for my tastes at times, but the story did take place on a sort of Amazonian world, so that was to be expected.

The action is slow to start, but when it does it's intense and exhilarating. There's lots of things going on: a break out, political games, back stabbing and much more. At times you really have to pay attention to keep up.

Overall this is a nice SciFi adventure that ends with quite a cliffhanger that makes you wonder what will happen next. I might give other books in this series a try.

Why should you read it:
It's a SciFi adventure packed with intrigue and action.

Asha - Book Review

What is it about:
Asha is a 15-year old girl with the soul of a demon. She plans to wage war against heaven and hell using humanity as her main weapon. Asha begins the epic tale of the revenge of the dark goddess of demons!

What did I think of it:
An enjoyable short story.

The writing is decent and Asha is an intriguing character. I would have loved to learn a bit more about what makes her tick though, she remained a bit of a mystery which made it hard to connect with her.

The story is intruiging, but doesn't really have a satisfying ending, but this is often the case with first books in an ongoing series, so I won't hold that against it.

All in all it's a nice start of a series and I'm curious how this story will further evolve.

It's an enjoyable short story about a demonic teenager
